Jason’s aggressive and thoughtful style allows him to provide the highest standards of representation to clients in various types of commercial, constitutional, tort, insurance, and appellate litigation.

Jason has learned to solve tough problems through extensive and varied experience. While clerking for a federal judge after law school, Jason gained valuable insight into how judges reach decisions on difficult issues and deepened the legal curiosity he first developed as an honors law student at Washington University in St. Louis. After his clerkship, Jason worked both in private practice and in-house for a global technology company. In private practice, Jason learned the technical and strategic aspects of litigation, and his time in-house was an extensive education about the business and financial decisions that come into play in business disputes.

Jason brings the totality of this experience to every case, and he sees every second spent on a matter as an opportunity to dig a little deeper and gain a little more ground on the opposition.

Practice Highlights:

• As an in-house attorney, led pre-litigation dispute with international airline over its termination of complex outsourcing contract and obtained a multi-million-dollar termination payment from the airline.
• Represented ATV parts supplier in complex supply-chain litigation that resulted in full consent judgment in client’s favor.
• Obtained summary disposition of all claims defending national truck company against multi-million-dollar no-fault claim.
• Advised city on the best legal and political approach to handling a city council member who violated residency requirements established by the city’s charter and ordinances.

Jason spends his spare time with his patient wife and three active children, usually at youth sporting events or their family’s cottage on Lake St. Clair (not a Great Lake, but a good one).
